Vincent Surmont is an art historian and freelance curator from Brussels, Belgium.
He is member of the artist collective PARK; a platform for young professional artists and experimental new talent. Starting from an open vision and approach, PARK stimulates artists’ research and experiment, especially with regard to in situ installations. In 2013, Surmont started the ongoing exhibition project OFFPAPER, with a focus on contemporary drawing and the significance and diversity of works on paper throughout history. He’s interested in artists who are contributing to new interpretations of drawing. He recently graduated from the curatorial program at Node Center for curatorial studies in Berlin, where is he is now curating the new exhibition program for In:Surgo’s print studio and independent artist space.
